Abbi grew up in a little town called Ludlow, VT population 2000 where it was a 30 min drive to the nearest McDonalds. Her childhood was spent taping fictious radio shows into tape recorders, playing in the woods and occasionally making dog poo stew (don't ask). She was raised by her mother and father and has one brother that always seemed to make her look like she was the angel. She stalked her husband since 7^th grade until he finally gave in and dated her summer (I will add the T&A of puberty may have helped with his decision) before senior year, they have been together ever since! The whole barrfariffic story prom king and queen…etc. They traveled for years following her husband’s career in the Marines. She was always obsessed with radio and with persistence and college courses in broadcasting it helped land her 1^st job in Yuma, AZ.

After years of traveling she decided to put down roots in Myrtle Beach and join the Next Media Team.

5 Questions with Abbi

Why radio?

I love to talk ….My dad always told me I love to hear the sound of my own voice...sadly he is probably right, that and I love to make people laugh…plus a friendly game of verbal ping pong always gets my blood pumping in the morning.

Why are you a vegetarian?

I never really liked meat, a soy sausage yes a real one NO WAY. It was really the hormones and preservatives in the meat that really motivated me to stop eating animals I have been a vegetarian since I was 13. Funny thing is my husband is the biggest meat and potatoes guy you would ever meet.

Favorite drink?

Before kids Jack and coke / After Kids A berry smoothie (how lame)

How do you and Tommy get along...Really?

Tommy and I have a great ability to hate each other for 5 minutes and then like magic it is over. This is an ability I think all team shows need to have. You are stuck in a room with someone for 5 hours a day! I talk to Tommy more then I talk to my husband I have to it’s my job! Even when we loathe each other or one of us is having a bad day we adapt and the show is better because of it! So do I like the guys absolutely are there some days we would like to stab each other certainly.

If not radio then what? 

If I wasn’t doing radio I probably would be one of those goofballs on some kid’s show singing silly songs and acting like a fool, not much different from what I do now.
